
Mission of the Language Center:
To give students at VSE the opportunity to improve their knowledge of foreign languages (English, German, Spanish, French & Chinese) while building useful international relationships.
Main goals:
- To broaden services for students of VSE in the area of foreign languages. We offer English, German, Spanish, French, Czech and Chinese courses.
- We also provide business seminars in English. These seminars are designed to provide practical topics with opportunities for interaction with business professionals.
- There are also cultural programs in English which will help to improve a student’s English skills and increase their international awareness.
Current resources for students:
- Two study rooms with desks and chairs
- A library with 2000 books in English, French, German & Spanish. These books can be checked out for personal use. We also have 11 magazines in English, German and French. We have magazines such as Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, The Economist, Readers Digest, Paris Match and Der Spiegel.

Language services
Services and opportunities for improving student language knowledge with native speakers:
- Conversational groups – English, German, Spanish, French and Chinese. Czech for beginners.
- One-on-one conversation with native speakers in English only - limited.
- Cultural events – celebrations of national holidays, games, food, music, film.
- Seminars and lectures by enterpreneurs, with interactive discussions. Practical business topics by businessmen – several times a year.
Cost for language service:
The fee is 600,- Kč for one class. Bible classes are free.

Students have always an opportunity to ask questions and communicate with the speaker.
